LaSource is a bodywear brand on a mission to highlight the beauty and importance of women being the source of all life, thus shifting the stereotypical male tropes involved in the lingerie industry. The brand highlights feelings of comfort, confidence, and beauty through ornate and elevated design sensibilities, making its customers feel cherished. Motifs of flowers and the sun speak to the brand’s ethos that women are the source of all life.

The core of the brand identity takes inspiration from the 1920’s, a time when women were breaking through traditional gender roles and asserting themselves in new ways. Art Deco, the art movement that took place during this period, is known for its streamlined geometric shapes, bold colors, and luxurious materials. These elements reflect the modernist sentiment of the time and the aspirations of a generation of women who were seeking to redefine themselves and their place in society.

The Art Deco inspired motifs and patterns featured in LaSource’s brand identity pays homage to this time period, as their core value is celebrating and empowering women as they are and not as how men want them to be. This is bodywear for women.

It was equally as important to showcase lifestyle in the art direction of the website and social presence. The goal is to create a lifestyle scenery so the customer felt like they weren’t just purchasing a product, but purchasing a glimpse into the lifestyle.
