Sherkaan

Indian street food.

Tasked with Ankit Harpaldas’ vision to reintroduce Indian cuisine in an approachable way, our team worked to create a visual system for Sherkaan: an American-style Indian restaurant serving a contemporary menu of craft cocktails paired with Central and South Indian street snacks (named after the powerful and authoritative force known as Shere Khan, the Bengal tiger from Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book). We developed a bold and flavorful brand system that channels the vintage spirit of Indian street carts, signage, trucks, and rickshaws. Hand-drawn and depicted in a variety of vibrant colorways, our tiger illustration manages to consistently carry the momentum of the brand throughout a variety of print and digital materials. Trendy and cool, universally understood, and just a little bit nostalgic, Sherkaan offers a real sense of authenticity without losing touch with its youthful demographic.
