When Gina Luari, owner of Hartford, Connecticut’s The Place 2 Be, approached Box 8 in the spring of 2019, she was determined to exponentially expand her brunch-focused brand and subsequently grow its clientele into a ride-or-die cult following.
In an effort to give The Place 2 Be a bit of an edge over the competitive, trendy brunch scene, we created a visual identity that made a little noise. By iconizing the restaurant’s most popular menu item, utilizing a bold color palette, and strongly declaring a unique tagline, Box 8 created a brand that capitalizes on the basic, brings the extra, and remains unapologetically loud and in your face.
